About The Summerfield

Patient welfare and comfort have been the priorities at the Summerfield since it was established 25 years ago. A safe, peaceful environment is provided in an impressive four-storey building fronting onto one of Cheltenham’s pleasant, tree-lined streets. Inside, the surroundings are bright and clean, with all rooms decorated and finished to a high standard. Several are fitted with the latest patient lifting equipment. Good, nutritional food is essential to recovery, and at the Summerfield meals are fresh, cooked on site, and are well presented. All staff members, whatever their roles, are highly trained. Each section has a Departmental Head, while overall responsibility lies with the Matron and the General Manager. Qualified nurses are in post 24 hours a day, every day, with specialist services available at short notice. Nursing assistants are keen, motivated, and many have achieved NVQ3 status.
